Dirt Rag Dirt Fest @ Allegrippis 5/21-5/23 !!!!!!!!

Dirt Rag recently announced the 2010 Dirt Fest. The event will be held May 21 to May 23 at the Allegrippis trails at Raystown Lake in PA. Tickets go on sale Monday February 1st and it's unclear how you'll actually sign up but I'm sure campsites are going to sell out fast! I would love to get a contigent from S3 together to go. Myself, Piper Watson, and Patrick O'Brien all rode the trails last fall and they were pretty fun. I took my Rocky Mtn. ETSX but I think a hardtail or SS would be best (very buff, at least by S3 standards). There is going to be A LOT going on and if you've never been to a Dirt Rag organized event it's a hoot. Mo and the gang really know how to throw together a good time, old school east coast style:) Here are some links I've been able to dig up for the event:

And to boot, If I'm not mistaken the VA IMBA fest should be the next weekend at Stokesville! Scud or Chris, you out there?

6th Annual North American Handmade Bicycle Show

Ever since I was a kid I've seen bicycles as art. This aesthetic love of bikes probably started the day the rich poser down the block got an SE Racing Quadangle. It was such a sweet bike, unlike any bike I had ever seen.Today that passion has led to an expensive hobby of putting together bikes to ride, but also just to look at. I get great satisfaction searching for and putting together all the parts and details to make a functional yet beautiful bike. My dream would be to have the skills and one day build my own frame from scratch. Which leads me to the reason for this post. This February 26,27,and 28th the North American Handmade Bicycle Show is coming to Shenandoah country, Richmond that is. I have oogled over the pics I've seen in all the bike mags of NAHMBS past and now it's gonna be in my own backyard! I can't wait to go and rumor has it that there is gonna be some sweet fat tires rides as well;) Comment if you wanna go! I <3 bikeporn...
